German Shorthaired Pointer Club of SA Inc

The GSP Club of SA offers a rescue service for PURE BRED GSP's surrendered to animal shelters.

This not a re-homing service.
For whatever reason, you cannot keep your GSP, your first point of contact should be
the
REGISTERED BREEDER  your GSP was purchased from.

We have two RESCUE OFFICERS who upon being contacted by the animal shelter will go and assess the
dog as to whether it is a viable option for re-homing.

It will be taken to a boarding facility and cared for until such time it is in good condition, received basic
training and ready to be re-homed.

Any donations towards GSP Rescue in SA would be most appreciated.  (Blankets, Bedding, Food etc)

Any GSP that is available for adoption will be listed on our web site.

If you are interested in adopting a rescue GSP, please
CONTACT US for further details.

Hannah is a solid liver 10 year old desexed bitch, needing a forever home with adults.

Due to not being socialised enough as a youngster, she is very apprehensive around dogs she doesnt know, so would be best suited to a single dog home where she can live inside and be spoilt rotten.

She is in very good health for her age and is still very active and enjoys going for her daily walk.

If you are home all day and looking for a loving companion contact our Rescue Officer
Cherysse Richardson (0419 837 786) for further information about Hannah.

Another successful rescue story.....

Hi Anne,

Sorry it has taken me a while to get this to you, got to love end of financial years!!

Fergus has been doing excellent after being rehoused through the GSP rehousing system. He has slotted in to our kennel without any drama's and love the attention he gets from my 4 and a half year old son.

As we have Siberian Huskies and race them throughout the winter months, I thought i would give Fergus a go and see if he would enjoy it, which comes to say that he did. Every week we are currently running about 20 km's and every time i grab his harness for a training run , he starts to carry on like a pup, he is just that eager.

After each race he gets his treats for doing so well which is given to him by my son, his temprement is second to none.

I guess you can say it has been a successful placement. I have attached a couple of pics for you to look at also.

Kind Regards,
Sean
