RUVALAN PERPETUAL TROPHY
Donor: Ruvalan Kennels, Victoria
Effective 1st March 2007
Aim: To encourage Club members to participate in Conformation Showing.
Clause 1
The registered owner must be a financial member of the GSP Club of SA Inc and SA Canine Association and the dog registered with the SA Canine Association before scoring commences and remain financial/registered for the period of scoring. Both dog and registered owner must reside in SA. Only GSP’s shall be eligible for this trophy.
Clause 2
The scoring period shall commence on the first day of March in each year and conclude on the last day of February in the following year.
Clause 3
Points may be counted from any Championship Show approved by the SACA and held within the State of South Australia.
Clause 4
Method of scoring -
The total points gained at a maximum of fifteen (15) Championship Shows held during the year.
Note – Total CC or BOB points at a maximum of 15 Championship Shows held during the financial year.
Clause 5
Points will be collected by a person delegated by the committee to act as Point Scorer who shall present an up to date score to the Editor for printing in the Club's Newsletter and present to committee the final score at the end of the financial year.
Clause 6
The trophy shall be presented at the Annual General Meeting each year.
Clause 7
In the event of a tied score the winner shall be the dog with the most Best of Breeds.
TOP SHOWING DOG TROPHY & TOP SHOWING BITCH TROPHY

The trophies shall be presented at the Annual General Meeting each year.
Donation of Trophies
The Club has decided that a Showing Trophy for a dog and bitch shall be provided annually. The conditions, of competition and the method of scoring shall be laid clown by the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of SA Inc and the minimum value of the trophies shall be set by the Club. However, anyone wishing to donate either of these trophies and is prepared to do so under the conditions of competition an laid clown by the Club, is most welcome to do so and their donation will be most gratefully accepted.
TOP SHOWING PUPPY TROPHY

Both dog and registered owner must reside in SA. Only GSP’s shall be eligible for this trophy.
Only German Shorthaired Pointer Puppies (6 12 months and in class 3 or 3A only) are eligible to compete for the trophy.
Clause 3:
The scoring period shall commence on the first day of March in each year and conclude on the last day of February in the following year.
Clause 4:
Points may be counted from any Championship Show approved by the SACA and held within the State of South Australia.
Clause 5:
Method of scoring:
The total points gained at a maximum of fifteen (15) Championship Shows held during the year.
Note
Puppy of Breed will receive 2 points plus 1 point for every puppy (dog or bitch) it has beaten.
Opposite Sex Puppy of Breed will receive 1 point for winning it's class and 1 point for every puppy it has beaten in its class.

TOP OBEDIENCE DOG & TOP OBEDIENCE BITCH

Aim: To encourage members to work their dogs in obedience
Clause 1
A trophy shall be provided annually for both dog and bitch.
Clause 2
The registered owner must be a financial member of the GSP Club of SA Inc and SA Canine Association and the dog
registered with the SA Canine Association before scoring commences and remain financial/registered for the period of scoring. Both dog and registered owner must reside in SA. Only GSP’s shall be eligible for this trophy.
Clause 3
The scoring period shall commence on the first day of March in each year and conclude on the 28th day of February the following year (29th February in a leap year).
Clause 4
Qualifying points may be counted from any official trial approved by the SACA and held within the stae of South Australia.
Clause 5
METHOD OF SCORING:
The total of points gained in any ten (10) trials held during the year. Entries shall be in Novice, Open (A & B) and Utility classes only.
Qualifying Scores only
NOVICE: 5pts
OPEN: 10pts
UTILITY: 15pts
lst place 3pts, 2nd place 2pts,3rd place lpt.
Clause 6
Points scored must be lodged with the Secretary of the Club or the person delegated by the Committee to act as Point Scorer, BEFORE the 10th day of March In each year and shall be presented In the form of a list, showing dates of the respective trials, the name of the club conducting, and the class qualified in and placings gained. The GSP Club of SA Inc reserves the right to sight score cards if requested.
Clause 7
The trophies shall be presented at the Annual General Meeting each year.
Clause 8
In the event of a tied score, the winner shall be chosen by the most first placings gained.
DISQUALIFICATION:
The onus of submitting correct scores in on the member and any member found submitting false scores or claims shall Immediately be disqualified from this and the Top Dog Trophy, and shall be dealt with by the Club according to the Club's constitution.
Clause 9
Tracking:
Although tracking Is included lo the Obedience field of dog training, no points or placings are allotted in tracking tests In this state, therefore it Is not possible to Include Tracking in the above trophies. To encourage the training of the Breed in this field of dog training a special trophy shall be awarded to every dog completing a Tracking degree, both Tracking Dog and Tracking Dog Excellent.
Donation of Trophies:
The Club has decided that an Obedience Trophy for a Dog and a Bitch shall be provided annually. The conditions of competition and the method of scoring shall be laid down by the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of SA Inc and the minimum value of the trophy shall be set by the Club. However, anyone wishing to donate one or both of the Obedience Trophies, or a Tracking Trophy and Is prepared to do so under the conditions of competition as laid down by the Club, Is most welcome to do so and their donation will be most gratefully accepted.
TOP RETRIEVING DOG & TOP RETRIEVING BITCH

Points shall be allocated for the order of placings in any six (6) classes held during the year.

Novice Restricted All Age Championship & National

Points scored must be lodged with the Secretary of the Club or the person delegated by the Committee to act as Point Scorer BEFORE the both March in each year and shall he presented in the form of a list showing the name of the club conducting and the date of the trial and any official placings gained.
DISQUALIFICATION:
The onus of submitting correct scores Is on the member and any member found submitting false scores or claims shall be immediately disqualified from this and the Top Dog Trophy and shall be dealt with by the Club according to the Club's constitution.
Clause 7
The trophies shall be presented at the Annual General Meeting each year.
Clause 8
In the event of a tied score the winner shall be chosen by a count back using official placings gained in the Trials submitted, awarding points as follows:
lst place 3 points
2nd place 2 points
3rd place 1 point

However, anyone wishing to donate one or both of the Retrieving Trophies and is prepared to do so under the Conditions of competition as laid down by the Club is most welcome to do so and their donation will be most gratefully accepted.
RETRIEVING ENCOURAGEMENT TROPHY
"AUST CH KIMMERY INCA LEE PERPETUAL TROPHY”
This trophy and sash has been donated by Mr. Eric Dell (Victoria). The trophy gains it's name from Mr Dell 's German Shorthaired Pointer bitch, Aust Ch Kimmery Inca Lee, who won our Club's Top Retrieving Bitch Trophy in 1984, 1985 & 1986.
Aim: To encourage members to work their dogs in retrieving trials.
Clause 1
A perpetual trophy and sash will be awarded annually to the winning dog or bitch.
Clause 2
The registered owner most he a financial member of the GSP Club of SA Inc before scoring and shall remain financial for the period of scoring. Only German Shorthaired Pointers shall he eligible for the trophy.
Clause 3
The scoring period shall commence on the 1st day of March in each year and conclude on 28th/29th February in the following year.
Clause 4
Points can be counted from any official Beginner's Test or Novice Retrieving Trial approved by the SACA and ANKC
Clause 5 Method of Scoring Points shall be allocated as follows:
(a) 5 points for each run completed.
(b) 1 additional point can be obtained by placing in an official trial.
Clause 6
Points scored must be lodged with the Secretary of the Club or a person delegated by the Committee to act as the point scorer BEFORE the 10th day of March in each year, and shall be presented in the form of a list showing the name of the Club conducting the trial and the date of the trial, any official placing’s gained and dates of any titles gained.
DISQUALIFICATION:
The onus of submitting correct scores is on the member, and any member found submitting false scores or claims shall be immediately disqualified from this trophy and shall be dealt with by the Club according to the Club's constitution.
Clause 7
The trophy shall be presented at the Annual General Meeting each year
Clause 8
In the event of a tied score, the winner shall be the dog that has completed the most official retrieving runs throughout the season.
Clause 9
The perpetual trophy is to remain in the state of South Australia. Should the winner be an interstate dog or bitch, the trophy will be held in trust by the Club Secretary for that trophy year and a replica with dog and owner's name will be given.
Clause 10
NO CHANGES are to be made for 2 years, after which it can then be revised. Any changes must be approved by Mr E Dell.
TOP FIELD DOG & TOP FIELD BITCH

Method of scoring:
Points shall be allocated as for Championship points awarded at each Field Trial.
OPEN: 4 points for a win, 2 points for a second place.
NOVICE: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a second place.
Clause 6
Points scored must be lodged with the Secretary of the Club or the person delegated by the Committee to act as Point Scorer BEFORE the 10th day of March in each year and shall be presented In the form of a list showing the name of the club conducting and the date of the trial and any official placings gained.

TOP DOG TROPHY

Aim: To encourage Club members to participate in the four Fields of Conformation Showing Obedience, Retrieving and Field.
Clause 1
A trophy shall be, provided annually.
Clause 2
The registered owner must be a financial member of the GSP Club of SA Inc and SA Canine Association and the dog registered with the SA Canine Association before scoring commences and remain financial/registered for the period of scoring. Both dog and registered owner must reside in SA. Only GSP’s shall be eligible for this trophy.
Clause 3
The scoring period shall commence on the first day or March in each year and conclude on the last day of February in the following year.
Clause 4
Scores submitted for the Showing, Retrieving and Field and Obedience Trophies will be used to arrive at a Top Dog, therefore no separate application for the trophy need be made.
Clause 5
Method of Scoring
To compete for this trophy, a dog must qualify in Retrieving/Field, and Obedience, and must have a minimum of 30% of the score of the highest scoring dog or hitch in Retrieving/Field and Obedience. The minimum needed to qualify, in showing must he 30% of the highest scoring dog or bitch's highest 10 challenges.

120 pts (from highest 15 Challenges/BOB Certificates) 40 points needed to qualify

The Trophy shall be presented at the Annual General Meeting each year.

In the event of a tied score the award will be made at the discretion of the donor.
Clause 8
The winner of this Trophy is automatically, ineligible to compete for the Club's "Dual Purpose Perpetual Trophy " in the same year.
DUAL PURPOSE PERPETUAL TROPHY

Aim: To encourage Club members to compete in more than one field of competition.
Clause 1
The registered owner must be a financial member of the GSP Club of SA Inc and SA Canine Association and the dog registered with the SA Canine Association before scoring commences and remain financial/registered for the period of scoring. Both dog and registered owner must reside in SA. Only GSP’s shall be eligible for this trophy.
Clause 2
The scoring period shall commence on the first day of March in each year and conclude on the last day of February in the following year.
Clause 3
Points may be counted from any official Retrieving, Field, Obedience, Agility, Jumping, Tracking Trial or Championship event approved by the SACA and held within the State of South Australia.
Clause 4
Method of scoring:
To qualify for this trophy a dog must compete in any two of the following fields;
Showing, Retrieving, Field, Obedience, Agility/Jumping or Tracking. Highest scores of any two disciplines to count.
to qualify a dog must attain a minimum of:
Showing 3 x 10 point challenges
Obedience 3 passes (Novice, Open or Utility)
Retrieving 3 points*
Field 1 x placing
Agility/Jumping 3 passes in one of these fields
Tracking Prelim Pass + Track 1 & Track 2 Pass
from any two of the above fields.
*Points for Retrieving awarded as follows
Novice Restricted All Age & Championship

Therefore a dog that has 3 x 3rd placings In Novice retrieving qualifies, as long as he meets the requirements in one other area.
SCORING: 5 points for each 10 point challenge
5 points for each obedience trial pass
5 points for each retrieving trial place
5 points for each field trial place
Additional points In Obedience, Retrieving, Agility/Jumping, or Field:
3 points for 1st place
2 points for 2nd place
1 point for 3rd place
In Showing:
3 points for class in show
2 points for class in group
1 point for Best of Breed
